Okies everyone thought it time to detail Vegas for ya.
1. Stay at the Flamingo, the rooms are ok, big beds, GO rooms are nicer but $30 a day more. However I am still waiting for some info from the Flamingo re package deals, so we may get them cheaper.
2. Flights well
expedia.co.uk do great deals on flights and rooms, but if the Flamingo comes up with a great room deal for 20 ladies then the flights will be seperate.
3. Shows, well there is a really good one on at the Flamingo some brother and sister act LOL. If you want to see the DIVINE ONE contact me to book em in a group. I would highly recommend the balcony show, you can see so much more, but you need the front seats. Again the Golden circle is great BUT beware ask for a booth cos the seats at front are just that seats no tables.
4. Eating out.
Wendy and I recommend eating breakfast (believe me they are huge) and then having dinner later, you wont need lunch. The best brekky was Margarittavilles, next to Flamingo, very friendly great food, esp omelettes.
But travel around a bit you can get some good deals, DONT eat at the fashion mall for brekky YUCk, but subway is ok.
Dinner we ate at the Outback Steakhouse, really good, huge steaks and burgers and not expensive.
The best palce to eat in the hotel was the Garden Buffett, eat all you want, they do all meals too, and at a good price.
The Burger joint was good too but watch the prices of alcohol (steep)
5. Take advantage of the voucher book you get on check in there are some great deals there, two for ones etc, 10% off etc, well worth it.
6. Travel.
Best way to get around is by bus. Aces and Deuces buses pick up and drop off all over the strip. $7 for 24hrs. The monorail is good but not so many stops and it doesnt run all night.
7.Shopping, the Fashion Mall, they have Maceys, Bloomingdales, etc. The Town square was ok but half finished and a long way out. Shops dont open till 10am. These are cheaper than the shops in the hotels. of which there are many. For the basics there is a Walgreens near the Venetian hotel and a CVS near Circus Circus, (there is also the largest tackiest gift shop here too).
8. Things to do when NOT seeing the DIVINE ONE.
Glitter Gulch the old part of Vegas, best seen at night, all lit up, Vegas as it used to be. well worth the trip, the buses go here all the time.
Bellagio Fountains, a free show every 30 mins at night and during the dayhourly. Corny music but well worth it.
The Pirates show at TI....hmmmm ok if u like an outdoor lapdance LOLnot a show to take kiddies to.
Roaming musicians ans living statues in the Venetian.
Lions at the MGM.
loads of other stuff to do, Madame Tussads, Eiffell tower (well worth the trip up) but not free.
9. The Grand Canyon
We met a lovely lady who organises tours to various places at discount prices, The Grand Canyon tour is along the South rim and cost $90 each, brekky picnic lunch etc all in an arcon coach (sadly no Donny to be a tour guide)
Thats about it for now. Still need to work out the logistics of it all. We will be having a group diner one night and I have just the place in mind too
Anything else Wendy?
